The other side hears it in their language — the words stream on screen while you talk, and are spoken aloud when you let go.

Rehearse alone. The app plays the person on Channel B — they answer in their own language, you hear it interpreted, and you reply. Good for learning the app before a real appointment, and for finding weak spots after you change a prompt.
Left on auto, the interpreter works out the specialty from what is being said and loads the matching rule set — clinical register and dose handling, terms of art and modality, postal reformatting, and the rest. It corrects itself as the conversation goes on. Pin one only to force it.

Speech recognition always uses your system default input, so picking a device here would not change what it hears. If the bar stays flat: macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone must have Chrome switched on, and Sound → Input must be the device you are speaking into.
Off by default. Pitch overlaps heavily between speakers and misreads colds, children, and trans voices. The channel setting below is what the model actually uses — set it once per person and it is right every turn.

While the invite is live, Channel B belongs to your guest — their words arrive here on their own. The link stops working when you end it.
Credit appears on your balance once the request is approved.
Erases the text of everything you have said through the interpreter. Quality statistics and your payment history stay — money records are never deleted.
Every accepted correction replayed against the live prompts. This is the line that should go up.
Model-raised flags and reviewer-assigned error types, last 30 days.
Turns land here automatically when confidence drops below 0.85, when the model raises a serious flag, or when an operator taps Wrong. Fix the rendering and the fix applies to the next utterance.
Mandatory term bindings. These override the model's own preference and are injected whenever the term appears in a matching language pair.
Corrected turns replayed to the model on similar future utterances. Delete one to undo its influence immediately.
Replays every accepted correction and scores the current setup against it. This spends real API calls, so it runs only when you ask.
Each block is injected into the system prompt. {{source}} and {{target}} are replaced with the language names at call time.
Saving publishes a new version — nothing is edited in place, and you can roll back below.
Price per minute, per language. A session bills at the higher of its two languages — you pay for the rare one in the pair, which is how interpreting is normally priced. Blank means the default rate.
Practice spends two model calls per turn, so leaving this on is usually right. Turn it off if you want staff training to be free.
Encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it touches disk, using a key derived from ADMIN_SECRET. It is never sent back to this page in full.
Optional, and a large quality upgrade. With a key, speech is transcribed by Deepgram's streaming recogniser — punctuation, better accents, better noise handling — instead of the browser's built-in one. Without a key nothing changes. Encrypted at rest the same way as the Anthropic key; the browser only ever receives one-minute tokens.
Conversations should not sit on disk forever. After this many days the text of each turn is erased automatically — the quality metrics (confidence, flags, language pair) stay, and the money ledger is never touched. 0 keeps text forever.
Fast handles ordinary turns. Accurate is the operator's toggle for consents, dosing, and sworn testimony.
Accounts live in Clerk — sign-in is by email with a one-time code, and this app never stores a password. An invite emails them a link with the role already attached. Only an owner can change roles.
